By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Jan 2016 12:09 PM GMTOnce again team India proves how much it likes 'Cycle stand theory'. In an unexpected way Team India defeated by Australia in fourth ODI. At one point, India were 277 for 1 in 38th over. Opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 126 and in form batsman Virat Kohli added 106. The pair shared a 212-run partnership and India appears on course for a victory. Virat and Dhawan lost their wickets in quick session and it proved fatal for team india.
From 277/1 in the 38th over, the visiting team collapsed for 323 in 49.2 overs. The team has lost their last nine wickets for 46 runs to earn a shame defeat. The way Indian wickets are falling reminds of the cycle stand as one falls and everything else falls. It was a total mistake from batsman with poor shot selection.
Electing to bat, Australia posted a massive 348. Superb batting display by Finch (107) and Warner (93) laid a strong platform for the team with 187-run stand.
India suffered a massive batting collapse in second part of the innings. It's a very bad performance by India's middle-order. With the fourth successive defeat Centuries made by Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan go in vain. It is Australia's 18th successive win at home. Australia now lead the series 4-0. The fifth and last One-Day International (ODI) will be played in Sydney on Saturday.
