BCCI and Cricket South Africa took the call of fixing the title 'The Mahatma Gandhi-Nelson Mandela Series' for all the future bilateral series between the Two Nations. Dedicating the cricket series to the freedom fighters which inspired generations is something everybody need to appreciate.
The Test Series between India & South Africa has been christened as the 'Freedom Trophy' dedicating to Gandhi and Mandela.
BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya commented India & South Africa share a common thread, that's struggle for Freedom. He told the weapons of Gandhi and Mandela (Non-Violence & Non-Cooperation) inspired the World to achieve the goals with relentless fight in a peaceful environment.
Even Cricket South Africa expressed its happiness over the remarkable decision taken in honour of the great leaders.
