India To Celebrate The Occasion Of Completing 1 Billion Doses

Despite people still having a few comprehensions in taking the vaccine doses, the drive has been going at a good pace and in the last nine months, the vaccination drive has recorded good numbers.
As another big record, India has crossed the massive milestone of 1 billion vaccine doses so far. Nine months into the start of the vaccination drive, India had made a big number which is quite impressive. It has to be mentioned here that after the second wave of Covid, the vaccine numbers had begun to go up regularly.
The record was achieved on Thursday going by the numbers given by the CoWIN portal, the portal launched by the Indian government to share the data on the vaccine numbers and other Covid related issues. The adults in the country are the major contributors to the massive numbers.
Reacting to the news of India achieving the massive record, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had expressed his happiness over the same and said the government is in plans to celebrate the massive record. The Minister said it's a good record indeed.
The Union Health Minister had made an appeal to the people in the country to not shy away from taking their due vaccine doses. Please don't make any delay in taking the vaccine doses. With this, we can fight the Covid virus effectively, he said.
On the other hand, the government also decided to use the public addressing means, loudspeakers to congratulate people on the record and to encourage people who have not taken their vaccine doses to show up at the vaccination centers to take the doses.
Tracing the biggest events in the massive record, India reported the highest number of vaccinations in a single day with as many as 2.5 crore vaccine doses. On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, India administered 2.5 crore doses on the 17th of September. As India had recorded the massive milestone, Mansukh Mandaviya is slated to launch a special song that is sung by Bollywood singer Kailash Kher.
