Indian Army Occupies South Pangong Area
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Sep 2020 10:10 AM GMTThe Indian Army troops gave a befitting reply to the aggressive behavior of the People's Liberation Army alongside the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and even countered China's attempts to change the status quo near the LAC.
Indian Army deployed the Army troops at the Southern bank of the Pangong Tso Lake that falls under the eastern Ladakh region. The area is cited as the un-deployed area.
To confirm the development, the Indian Army issued an official statement in which it stated that the Chinese Army violated the consensus and provocative military movements were carried by the Dragon troops.
Indian Army deploying troops and getting control over the Southern bank of the Pangong Tso Lake came in the wake of the Chinese Army deploying troops and war tanks at the LAC.
Getting control over the area gives the Indian Army an added advantage of closely looking at the movements of Chinese troops in the region.
Indian Army officials which earlier maintained that they are ready to use the army options if the talks with the Chinese Army won't end on a positive note occupied an advantageous position.
With this, India can monitor the Chinese Army's movements and can restrict the Chinese Troops from carrying out any intrusions in the occupied area.
