The life of Krishnam Raju Thokachichu changed overnight after he won 5 million dirham ($1.3 million) in a mega raffle draw in Abu Dhabi. Big 5 Ticket Draw was held at the Abu Dhabi International Airport on Sunday.
Krishna Raju, who came to UAE in 2008 for the first time, has been buying lottery tickets of Big 5 Ticket Draw for the past 3 years. Upon saving money for the lottery tickets every month, He used to buy tickets with other friends. Luckily, He bought the ticket all by himself in this attempt to claim all the prize money. 'I was surprised when I received a call from the Mega Raffle Draw organizers to inform Me,' he told.
Winning the mega lottery at a time when he is in financial crisis due to less income (below 10,000 dirham per month) and loans means a lot to Krishnam Raju. He wishes to save a portion of the money for the expenses towards his 4-Year-Old Child's education.
