"What's in a name? that which we call a rose.. by any other name would smell as sweet". This is a famous quote from Romeo Juliet by William Shakespeare. Fine.. but there are exceptions to everything. If you ask the same question to Saddam Hussain( No..not the slain Iraqi president) he will come up with his share of troubles with the name. You might be wondering who is this Saddam Hussain ?
This Saddam Hussain is a young man from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. He has graduated in Marine Engineering degree and he stood as second topper in his batch. It has been three years since he has been graduated. He has attended 40 interviews in several multi-national shipping companies for getting a good job. But he could not succeed in his trials. The reason is.. can you take a guess ? It's his name.
This 25 year old young man came to know about this through HR departments of several companies.. and finally decided to change his name. He approached the Univerisity where he has studied his Enginreering.. they have told him that he need to change the name first in 10th, 12th certificates.. and if that's done, then the name will be changed in Engineering certificates.
So, he has approached CBSE. As he didn't get proper response from them, he has approached Jharkhand High Court for justice. Can you answer the question again.. What's in a name ?
