Indian gets 46 years jail for Gunpoint sex crimes

In a shocking turn of event an Indian-origin man in the US received a 46-year jail term for crimes against five women.Hiten Patel, 36 has been sentenced to a 46-year prison term in the US state of New Jersey . He was convicted for sex-related crimes against five women in 2012.
Patel was arrested in 2012 after one of his victims escaped him after sexual assault at gun point and approached police. One victim, a 21-year-old said Patel claimed to be an undercover detective, showed a badge and ordered her into a van where she was sexually assaulted at gunpoint.
Several women who turned as victims of the PatelÂ’s sexual attacks described them at a two-week trial in Egg Harbor Township of Mays Landing in New Jersey. After hearing all the arguments the court sentenced him for 46 years jail term.
