Indian Jailed 30 Years For Sexual Exploitation In US

Deepak Deshpande, an Indian-origin Man, was sentenced to life imprisonment for sexually exploiting a Girl and also received 30 years jail term for production of Child Pornography. The accused pleaded guilty of committing the crime way back in October last year. US District Judge Carlos Mendoza pronounced the verdict on Thursday.
In July 2017, Deepak Deshpande came in touch with a girl in Orlando through an Online Chat App posing as a modelling agent. He persuaded the victim to send nude images of herself to him. Thereafter, Deepak contacted her posing as somebody else and threatened to leak the nude pictures if she doesn't produce him child pornography content.
In September 2017, Deepak reached Orlando from California to meet the girl for the first time. After taking her to a hotel, He filmed the sexual exploitation of the girl by him multiple times. The Accused visiting Orlando four more times between September 2017 to April 2018 for sexual favours from the victims. In May 2018, FBI trapped Deepak with an undercover operation. After his arrest, Deepak tried to kidnap and kill the girl before the trial could happen by hiring a fellow inmate who will be releasing soon. However, FBI succeeded in foiling the murder attempt.
