Kashmir is a sensitive issue and anything related to it is keenly observed by one and all. The sensitivity around the issue is proved one more time after a car manufacturer had faced the heat for the statement it gave on the Kashmir issue. Netizens came together to extend support to boycott the manufacturer.

Going into details, South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer had caught itself in the middle of the controversy after the official Twitter handle of the company in Pakistan made a post on Kashmir Solidarity Day, which is a national holiday in Pakistan over the sensitive Kashmir conflict.

The post shared by Hyundai Pakistan says that it stands in solidarity with the Kashmir brothers as a token to stand with them in their fight for freedom.

The post had kickstarted a big political storm in India. A few politicians and netizens have slammed the Hyundai company for its stand on Kashmir. To show their anger towards the company, the hashtag #BoycottHyundai came into trend on social media.

With the controversy getting bigger and bigger, the Hyundai company of India had made a statement on the controversy. Saying that the company is committed to the Indian market and respects the nation, the auto manufacturer termed India it's second home.

In the long statement, Hyundai company said that it won't entertain any practice that encourages insensitive communication. We are focused on the betterment of the country and the countrymen, the auto manufacturer added.

"Hyundai Motor India has been committed to the Indian market for more than 25 years now and we stand firmly for our strong ethos of respecting nationalism. The unsolicited social media post linking Hyundai Motor India is offending our unparalleled commitment and service to this great country. India is second home to the Hyundai brand and we have a zero tolerance policy towards insensitive communication and we strongly condemn any such view," Hyundai India said in its statement.

Netizens in India have slammed the Hyundai company on its stand on the Kashmir conflict and demanded an apology on the issue. Breathing fire on the company, the netizens opined that they will boycott the cars manufactured by Hyundai. A few netizens have also drawn a comparison between the sales of Hyundai in India and Pakistan.
