Indian-Origin Man Rapes Woman, Jailed For 25 Years!

Ashok Singh, an Indian-origin Man, was convicted of raping a Woman whom he helped in finding a place to live in the Queens neighbourhood, New York. A jail sentence lasting for 25 years was awarded to the Convict.
In December 2015, Ashok Singh came in touch with the Victim who was then searching for a rental apartment. He called the Woman four days later to inform that a suitable place was identified by him. Thereafter, He brought food and wine at a nearby grocery store but the 40-Year-Old Woman refused to consume alcohol. Then, The 58-Year-Old lost his cool, threw her on the bed and sexually violated her. The Victim went out of the apartment when the Accused was asleep and contacted a Friend for help. Immediately, A police complaint was lodged and she was taken to the hospital for treatment. When the Victim was in the hospital, Ashok Singh made a phone call to her and even left a voicemail to convey his apology. He even promised not to behave in such a manner with her again.
DNA of Ashok Singh matched with Vaginal Swags collected from the Victim at the area hospital. He will have to spend rest of his life in the prison for the turning into a predator taking advantage of a Woman in need of help.
