Indian Railways decided to Save Airline Services!

Rail fare is now set to cross Air fare in India. In majority of the western countries, Rail fare crosses Air fare and this situation is now going to be seen in India too. Indian Railways launched Premium Tatkal system. As per this system, half of the Tatkal tickets will be available as usually and the remaining half will have variable price tags.
Just like flight tickets, Premium Tatkal quota tickets will have variable prices. The price of the ticket depends on the demand and the vacancy. Last few tickets will be sold at higher prices which may cross Air fare prices. Increasing demand for Railways is now making Indian Railways to take this decision.
Majority of the Airlines are running in loss. This initiative from Indian Railways may save Airline services to come back into the business. Lets hope the best for both the systems.
