Indian Superstar campaigns for Sri Lankan President

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his 'Kick' co-star Jacqueline Fernandez (former Miss Srilanka) campaigned for Srilankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in Colombo ahead of presidential polls. This is for the first time an Indian Star was roped to participate in canvassing in Sri Lanka and that too for the President.
Salman and Jacquline reached Sri Lanka on Sunday. This hit pair and 5 other Bollywood celebs will be appearing on stage in support of Mahinda Rajapaksa.
It was Mahinda Rajapaksa's son Namal who invited Salman to participate in the poll campaign. It is learnt that Jacqueline is a good friend of Namal.
Sri Lanka presidential election will happen on January 8th. Mahinda Rajapaksa has called for polls 2 years ahead of schedule to retain power before his party's popularity falls further.
