The plight of Indian students stuck in Ukraine continues as the war between Russia and Ukraine intensifies. Though the efforts to evacuate the Indians are going on in full swing, there is a lot of work that has to be done. The Indian embassy had urged the Indians to leave the Kyiv city at the earliest amid war.

In the wake of Indians trying hard to get out of the city, an Indian was reportedly shot in Kyiv, the capital city. As he was shot, the Ukrainian troops reportedly sent him back, and was admitted to a hospital.

The News Agency Asian News International(ANI) had reported that union minister General VK Singh had acknowledged the incident and said that they were informed of the sad incident. We are getting updates about his condition, the Union Minister said as per ANI.

This is the third incident of Indians getting subjected to either being attacked or getting killed. As a first such incident, an MBBS student who hails from Karnataka was killed in the Russian attack on Ukraine. Another Indian student breathed his last due to his health condition and stroke is said to be the death cause.

Seeing the aggressive nature of the Russian army and the speed at which the troops are bulldozing towards the capital city Kyiv, the Indian embassy had urged Indians living there to leave the city and reach a safe place.

Talking about the evacuation efforts, India is giving its best to airlift Indians stuck there. As a major step, India had started Operation Ganga by running special flights and nine flights have reached India with more than 600 students.

As a shot in the arm for the airlifting efforts, the Indian Air Forces, Operation GoAir, Indigo have joined the forces and have been coordinating each other in the massive task.

Recently, the Indian government gave its nod for the Indians coming from Ukraine to bring their pets with them. This development came after a few Indians said no to leaving Ukraine without pets. They said that they are worried about their pet friends and they can't leave them. As a result, a few Indians reached India with their pets.
