Indians Prefer Online News Over Other Forms Of News!

But the internet changed everything and we can read news anywhere and anytime. With the internet, we need not have to wait for the newspapers to come to read the news.
Online news is the current trend and people prefer reading news online. A recent survey found that a major share of Indians are reading online news through various apps. There are millions of internet users in the country and a major share of them read news online.
The Kantar-Google report found some interesting things about the internet users in the country and what are their preferences while ready news. While some prefer the video form of news, some prefer an audio form of news. Their preferences also change on which platform they watch the news.
The report said that there are around 729 million internet users in India and 52 percent or 379 million internet users out of them watch news online. The count includes people from various languages and how they consume news on various applications.
As a crackdown on languages that have the highest consumption of news. The Bengali language tops the list in video form of news with as much as 81 percent, followed by Tamil (81 percent), Telugu (79 percent), Hindi (75 percent), Gujarati (72 percent), Malayalam (70 percent), Marathi and Kannada 66 percent.
Looking at the apps that have the highest consumption of news, YouTube is at the top place with 93 percent, followed by social media(88%), Chat Apps(82%), Search Engines(61%), News apps or websites(45%), audio news(39%) and Tv news(21 %). While some people prefer reading short news, some prefer long news and some of them prefer watching clips that are less than 60 seconds.
