Indian Students Spend THIS MUCH on Foreign Studies

Going by some interesting reports, there are only fewer rich families in the country. As per a recent survey, there are only few rich families out of 130C population. The expenditure spent by 5.5lakh people on higher education is equal to the expenditure spent by the government on education for the entire country. This survey proved that the personal expenditure is only a little more than what the government is spending.
This survey also throws a focus on the importance given by the government towards education. 5,53,440 Indian students are studying in the different parts of the world. 3.70 lakh students are studying in US, Canada and Australia. 11 lakh students from different countries are studying in US. 2.6lakh people are from China and they top the list. The immediate place goes to India.
On an average, an Indian student spends 15 lakh rupees every year. Institute of International Education organisation survey reveals that Indian students in US spent 42K crore rupees during the academic year 2016-17.
Another interesting aspect is that 29,700 crore rupees were spent by state government and center towards the education of students in the entire India. The difference found between the government's expenditure and students' expenditure is 12K crore rupees.
As there are a lot of people ready to spend money for education, a few are trying to see it as a business venture which might not lead fruitful results. More students are attracted to study in foreign because of the employment opportunities that they will be provided after finishing the study.
The survey certainly throws light on the fact that the governments should increase the budget towards the education in the country.
