They threatened Me with Sexually Assault: Indrani

A Special Trial Court sought her appearance in the court Today in connection with the rioting inside the prison on Saturday.
Ms Mukerjea told the court that she saw Jail Officials dragging a woman (Manjula Sheyte) draped in the saree, and what followed is a physical & sexual assault. She disclosed that a wooden stick was inserted in the private parts of the woman and she died due to harassment.
Shockingly, Indrani alleged Byculla Jail Authorities has beaten up her and threatened with sexually assault if she turns into witness of the crime in the prison. Court granted permission for Indrani to file complaint against Jail Officials
When reporters asked how she is while stepping out of the court, Indrani replied: 'Still Alive'.
On Saturday morning, As many as 200 prisoners including Indrani climbed onto the roof of the prison in protest against the death of inmate Manjula Sheyte who was convicted for killing her family member. Manjula was assaulted after she complained against insufficient food supply to the prisoners. 6 Jail Officials were suspended following the death of the inmate. One of them has been charged with murder.
