Infections In Telangana Inching Towards 1 Lakh-Mark

Telangana saw a sharp rise in fresh pandemic infections as the state reported around 2,000 new cases in the last 24 hours and the total infections pass surged the 99,000-mark.
In the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 1967 fresh infections and the total cases in the state zoomed to 99,391.
As per the health bulletin issued by the Health Department, 26,767 samples were tested and 1967 infections were detected. So far a total of 8,48,078 samples were tested.
In a piece of good news, 1781 patients were declared cured in the last 24 hours which takes the toll of the total recoveries to 76,967. The recovery rate rose to 77.43 percent. The active cases stood at 21,687.
Eight people succumbed to the contagious disease in the last 24 hours and the total casualties in connection with the virus mounted to 737.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) region continues to be the worst-affected region as the region added 473 fresh cases out of the 1967 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
