Infosys CEO faces Racism Allegations
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Oct 2019 6:09 AM GMTUnnamed Ethical Employees of Infosys have reportedly written a letter to the board, claiming that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Salil Parekh has passed racist comments on tow independent directors of the company by calling them 'Madrasis'.
'The CEO told us, no one in the board understands these things, they are happy as long as the share price is up. Those two Madrasis ( Sundaram and Prahlad) and Diva ( Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw) make silly points, you just nod and ignore them', said the informants in the letters.
The term 'Madarasi' is often used by the North Indians to describe the people of southern people.
Some of the employees have accused Parkih and Chief Finacial Officer (CFO) for following unethical practices.
In the letter written to the board, the informants said: 'Parekh and Roy have been resorting to unethical practices for many quarters, as in evident from their e-mails and voice recordings of their conversations,'.
Parekh sarcastically calls Kira Mazumdar-Shaw 'Diva' which is used for film stars.
