Infosys Evacuates Bengaluru Office Amid Corona Spread

"To ensure preparedness, we are evacuating only the IIPM building as a precautionary measure on receiving information that a team member from the building may have been in proximity to COVID-19 suspect," Bengaluru development center head Gururaj Deshpande's e-mail read.
"We request you to refrain from believing in or spreading any information that is hearsay/rumors via any of the social media channels," he added.
Earlier building 20 of Raheja Mindspace was shut for one day and the employees were asked to go for work from home for the second half of the day.
The Karnataka government has directed all the techie companies to allow the employees to work from home for some days to prevent the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 in the state.
