The fresh Covid infections which saw a decline earlier has been witnessing a steady spike in the new infections recently raising several fears of the attack of possible third wave of Covid.

Talking about the rise in fresh infections caused by the novel Coronavirus, Genome Sequencing Panel INSACOG said, the Delta variant of the virus should be blamed for this and termed the variant as the driving force of cases in the country.

In its recent bulletin, the INSACOG said the major share of samples that were sequenced belong to the Delta variant which says the variant is a variant of concern in the country.

The bulletin further says that, while more than 30,000 of variants were sequenced at the INSACOG, more than 20,000 of samples belong to the Delta variant of the Covid virus.

The sequencing panel maintained that vaccination is a key factor in the fight against the respiratory disease and the severe symptoms and fatalities caused by contagious Covid have come down among those who have taken the virus.

Saying that the Reproduction Rate of the virus has come down to less than .89 percent, the panel stressed about the importance of following the Covid protocols as more than 25,000 cases are being reported in the country daily.

The recent findings of the sequencing of vaccination breakthroughs in the country says that the Delta variant is behind the rise in new infections and we can know if any other variants are present in India only in further observations, the panel added.

The Delta variant of novel Coronavirus which was found in India had spread its wings to other countries and as a result, several countries across the country are facing devastating situations pertaining to Covid.

The United Kingdom is the best example of this and we are seeing how the nation is struggling to fight the pandemic. The United States is also having a tough time with the same variant.

Coming with a high rate of transmission compared to other variants make Delta variant, Variant of Concern. Several nations are fearing the variant as it is being the driving force behind the spike of cases.
