The polling would be held on October 30 and the result would be out on November 2. The whole poll process would be completed by November 5. The bypoll is by far the most expensive and if the estimates of neutral observers are correct, then more than Rs 400 crore have already been pumped into the constituency.
The BJP and the TRS are now fighting a very keen battle in Huzurabad. The TRS has committed its top leaders, resources and publicity strategists into Huzurabad polls. BjP’s Eatala Rajender too is incessantly touring the whole constituency.
Sources say that the ruling party has deployed over 150 intelligence officials at Huzurabad. They have been asked to fan out into the interior areas of the constituency and gauge the public mood. They are trying to assess the public opinion about the Dalit Bandhu scheme and the other welfare schemes of the TRS government. The intel officials are meeting the public at large to get a feel of the situation in the constituency. Several survey agencies too have entered the fray and are gauging the public mood.
The TRS has also deployed several of its MLAs, MPs and ministers and they are incessantly touring the whole of the constituency. Schemes like Dalit Bandhu and others are being popularised. The intel inputs are being used to formulate strategies for the TRS.
