Internal Bickering In Nagarjunasagar BJP
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 Jan 2021 4:01 AM GMTAt a time when the BJP is aiming to put up a good show in poll-bound Nagarjunasagar, internal groupism is proving to be a big headache. The BJP is banking on the euphoria created by the victories in Dubbak and GHMC. Now it wants to repeat the same success stoy in Nagarjunasagar too. But, bickering in the party is turning out to be a major problem.
During the last assembly elections, K Nivedita Reddy was the party nominee for Nagarjunasagar MLA constituency. However, she lost the election and badly at that. She could muster just about 2600 votes. Needless to say, she lost her security deposit too. This time around, she again wants to give it a try. She is making efforts to mobilise the cadre and is trying to muster support.
At the same time, another young leader Kadari Anjaiah Yadav, who has joined the BJP from the TDP, too is lobbying hard for the ticket. He has got about 25000 votes when he contested in 2014 on a TDP ticket. He too is claiming that the party leadership has asked him prepare for contesting the elections. He is claiming that he would be a better candidate as he is from the BC community and that both TRS and the Congress are likely to put up Reddy candidates.
Meanwhile, there are also reports that the BJP may lure some key leader from the TRS and field him as the candidate. In any case, the BJP is battling itself before battling rivals.
