Internal Fights Haunt YSRCP, then Nellore, Now Eluru!
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 April 2022 6:59 AM GMTThe internal issues and group fights are not new for the political parties. Irrespective of the regions, the same is the case with many parties. These fights cause severe damage to the party and make it weak as the cadre gets confused about to support whom, whenever there is any political event or a program.
The ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh is not an exemption from the internal fights. Recently we have seen how the Nellore politics turned intense with the internal issues. With Minister and former Minister openly provoking each other, the Chief Minister had to intervene to bring the situation under control.
When the Nellore issue was done and dusted, the internal fights in YSRCP had popped up from the Eluru district. The issue had so much heat that the MLA barely escaped the attack from the party supporters and cadre.
Going into detail, YSRCP leader Ganji Prasad was killed and the opponent group in the party is believed to be behind this attack. Eluru MLA Venkatrao who got to know about the sad incident went to the victim's house to condole his death.
However, the MLA had a tough time during his visit as he had to face an attack from the Ganji Prasad's group. Alleging that the other group might have been supported by the MLA to carry out the attack, the group attacked the MLA and he reportedly sustained injuries in the attack.
Using strong language, the members of Ganji Prasad have reportedly abused the MLA and attacked him. He had managed to escape the attack without getting big injuries as the local Police showed up at the place and safely took from away from the spot. If not for the police intervention, the situation might have been worse.
Even the cops who tried to take the MLA from the spot also developed injuries reportedly. A constable and a YSRCP party worker have been injured in this and the party worker was reportedly shifted to the nearby hospital facility for the treatment. It is high time that the YSRCP should focus on internal issues and settle them. Or else, the party has to face its effect.
