International Yoga Day: Pm Modi Says Yoga Helps In Self-discipline

In his address speech, Narendra Modi credited the practice of Yoga for giving faith to the people that they could fight this virus.
The Prime Minister said that, no country was prepared when Covid hit us. During that time, Yoga turned as a source of inner strength.
India will launch M-Yoga application in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).The application will have Yoga training videos. These videos will be made available in different languages of the world, he said.
Saying that the practice of Yoga gives us way of holistic health, Narendra Modi said, the enthusiasm towards the Yoga has increased among the people.
"Yoga not only focuses on physical health but also mental health. During Covid, several studies are going on, researching the benefits of yoga on our body and immunity. We see that yoga and breathing exercises are being done at the beginning of online classes. This is helping children in fighting the virus," the Prime Minister said during the address.
The practice of celebrating International Yoga Day has started from 2015, after the UN General Assembly in 2014 declared June 21 as the International Yoga Day. Several countries have supported the UN's resolution.
