Internet Banned in J&K for two days

But citizens of Jammu and Kashmir citizens will have to survive without internet for the next two days. The state government has declared a ban on it. From Friday morning to till Saturday night internet will not avaiable for the citizens.
The state government has ordered data services to be suspended and the decision was taken it fears that the spread of rumours could create communal tensions. The authorities enforced the ban following a warning from top intelligence officials about the content on social media.
The directive by the police to all internet service providers comes amid the controversy over a ban on slaughtering cattle. The government fears posting of objectionable pictures and comments on the social networking sites and took this precautionary measure.
