Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has made some sensational rncomments on the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League(IPL) at a rnpress conference held at the National capital to clear all the airs.

"Avoidrn large gatherings. A lot of people might be thinking about whether it's rnright to take such extreme measures. In countries where preventive rnmeasures are being taken, only there it (coronavirus outbreak) could be rnregulated otherwise, it keeps spreading. We have told all DMs and SDMs rnto strictly follow all the coronavirus cases coming up," Sisodia said.

"Wern have banned all sports-related gatherings. If BCCI comes up with some rnnew format then it's up to them. But we are banning every such sports rnactivity where there is a possibility of thousands of people gathering. rnOur intent is to avoid gathering and not stop people from practicing," rnSisodia added.

He made it clear that the daring step was taken rnnot to stop the s[porting activity but to make sure that the large rngatherings were avoided which is cited as the biggest flagbearer of the rnspread of the virus.

Earlier the Central government has rnsuspended all the Visas to India till the 15th of April as part of rnpreventive measures to stop the spread of the pandemic.

Meanwhile,rn the Sports Ministry has also directed all National Sports Federations rn(NSFs), including the BCCI to follow the Health Ministry's guidelines rnfollowing the outbreak.
