VIP Treatment for Sasikala: Kiran Bedi praises Cop!

Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi heaped praises on the courage displayed by D Roopa, who is the DIG (Prisons) of Karnataka, in exposing the VIP Treatment offered to AIADMK supremo VK Sasikala Natarajan in Bengaluru Central Prison.
Kiran Bedi opined there in need for more officers like D Roopa to inspire the Younger Generation. She encouraged Roopa to remain strong wherever she might be posted as the country needs such officer who can inspire others to be like her.
In her 4-page report, D Roopa suspected the role of Jail Authorities in providing special treatment for Sasikala Natarajan in central prison. She even expressed the doubt that they might have received bribe of anywhere around Rs 2 crore for the same. She demanded stringent action on those corrupt officials for violating norms.
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah ordered for an high-level probe on the allegations of VIP Treatment for Sasikala.
