Irish Athlete clears the air on anti-sex beds with a video

The countdown for the prestigious Tokyo Olympics 2020 has started. In three days from today, the tournament will kickstart at the Olympic Village in Tokyo.
Ahead of the tournament, a piece of news has been spread rapidly that athletes who were part of the tournament were provided with cardboard beds to see that they won't get intimate with their partners.
A popular International daily has also claimed the same ahead of the Olympics. The reports sparked a debate on plus and minus points of the organisers opting for the cardboard beds for the athletes.
Amid this, Irish Athlete Rhys McClenaghan took the issue into his own hands to bust the myths and fake stories behind the beds being so sturdy.
In the short video he shared on Twitter, the athlete called the news claiming that the cardboard beds allotted to them being sturdy are fake.
"The beds are meant to be anti-sex. They're made out of cardboard, yes, but apparently they're meant to break with sudden movements. It's fake -- fake news!", the athlete said in the video.
As the tweet came from the athlete when a lot of discussion is going on about the beds, the organisers have thanked him for clearing the air.
"Thanks for debunking the myth. You heard it first from @TeamIreland gymnast @McClenaghanRhys - the sustainable cardboard beds are sturdy!," the tweet reads.
Earlier last week, the Olympic Village reported the first Covid case raising several fears and concerns. The organisers have responded quickly and sent the infected person to a nearby hotel for quarantine formalities. However, the organisers refused to share the details of the infected person.
