Is BJP Playing Mind-Games?

Are there going to be large-scale defections from the TDP and will these turncoat MLAs join the BJP? If BJP national secretary Sunil Deodhar is to be believed, then at least 18 TDP MLAs are in touch with the BJP leaders and they are ready to jump into the TDP bandwagon anytime soon. Deodhar is also confident that Chandrababu Naidu would go to jail for sure.
But the TDP leaders pooh-pooh these claims and say they the BJP is day dreaming. They say that there is no possibility of any TDP MLA joining the BJP. They said the four MPs who had joined the TDP have done it under duress. These MPs are industrialists and were embroiled in several cases. They had joined the BJP as they wanted to save their businesses, they say.
''If the BJP has 18 TDP MLAs in its kitty, what is stopping it from joining them into the BJP? Why are they confining themselves to mere tall talk and no action? Why is it that not even one MLA has so far joined the BJP,'' a key TDP leader asked. He said that the BJP was wreaking vengeance on the TDP for opposing it. ''Not one of the MLAs will ever join the BJP. This is nothing but a mind game. ,''said a key TDP leader. All this is fake news aimed at demoralising the TDP, he added.
