Is BJP Stronger in Andhra Pradesh Than Uttar Pradesh?
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Aug 2022 12:51 PM GMTIt is known that Bharatiya Janata Party's National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu won the recent elections with a super majority against the Opposition partiesâ candidate. But the way a Telugu state supported Draupadi Murmu in the polls surprised everyone.
Both parties in Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP, and Telugu Desam Party supported Murmu and voted for her. The members of both parties voted for her and all the votes coming from the state went to Murmu. Even the BJP-ruled states like Uttar Pradesh did not see such wholesome support for Murmu.
The interest of YSRCP and TDP to be friendly with the BJP resulted in the polarisation of votes in the Presidential polls. The opposition and ruling parties have their own reasons to support BJP.
Talking about the ruling YCP, the party is not a friendly party to BJP, but the party is supporting the union government like more than a friendly party. No matter what bill the BJP tables in the Parliament, YCP supports it.
On the other hand, the opposition Telugu Desam Party wants to be friendly with the Bharatiya Janata Party yet again and thatâs why the party came forward to support Murmu in the polls. The TDP is believed to be in the good looks of the BJP once again.
Coming to Janasena, the party chief is in alliance with the BJP and he canât go against the party. Though Janasena has no representation in the Assembly or Parliament, Pawan Kalyan did not raise his voice for the state interests not even once.
