Is BJP top leadership upset with Bandi Sanjay?
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 April 2021 6:41 AM GMTThe BJP, which looked quite promising and ready to take on the might of the TRS till two months ago, has lost its sheen due to a couple of mindless moves. Many in the party feel that Bandi Sanjay's moves to weaken some senior leaders within the party seem to have boomeranged.
Some leaders feel that Sanjay is trying to marginalize senior leaders by making them irrelevant. It is being said that the choice of Premender Reddy as Graduates MLC candidate from Warangal and of Ravi Naik from Nagarjunasagar were his decisions. Both the candidates are not only weak, but are ineffectual. Also, the mindless criticism of KCR too is said to have boomeranged. Sanjay's machinations are now been understood by party leaders, Hence, Dharmapuri Aravind and other key leaders did not campaign in Nagarjunasagar, said a party insider. The party high command in Delhi too said to be upset with Bandi Sanjay over the handling of Nagarjunasagar campaign.
Sources said that complaints are piling up against Bandi Sanjay in Delhi and Amit Shah and JP Nadda are said to have taken a serious view of Bandi Sanjay's behavior. Sources said that it was Bandi Sanjay who asked the party leaders to talk to the TRS about making Lingojiguda bypoll a unanimous one. But, later, he tried to turn the tables on seniors by appointing a three-member committee over the decision to consult TRS. The national leadership is said to have taken note of all these developments.
