It has been reported that the Real Estate Company, Trump Organization is thinking to sell its hotel in downtown Washington, DC. This news created a sensation that its principal owner, Donald Trump is misusing his post and making a profit out of it.
Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, Trump's Son Eric Trump said that they have requested the real estate firm JLL to help them in selling off their hotel.
Eric Trump said in a statement that: "Since we opened our doors, we have received tremendous interest in this hotel and as real estate developers, we are always willing to explore our options".
The price was not fixed for the hotel yet, but it will be expensive as it is an international hotel. Ever since Trump became the U.S. President this hotel news became a controversy.
According to his financial reports, he is earning $80 million from this hotel. For violating the Constitution's emolument clause, many lawsuits were filed against Trump earlier. Before entering the President's office, he resigned from his companies as Owner and transferred all of his assets to a trust. Through this, he is benefiting financially even though he is not the owner.
