More on Etela Rajender!! Is he still in two minds over joining the BJP? Despite Bandi Sanjay's dandy announcement, there still seems to be a lot of confusion about his joining the BJP. If the sources we spoke to are correct, Etela is still undecided. This is what emerges from his recent conversation with a TRS leader.
During the telephonic conversation, he reportedly told the TRS leader that he would take a final decision on joining the BJP in a couple of days. This means that he has not yet taken the political plunge. It is also clear that he is still undecided about joining the BJP.
Now the chances of Etela forming a new political party appear to be quite remote. No talks are underway on this subject. Only the talk of his trying to join the BJP are emerging. But, Etela ideologically differs from the RSS and BJP ideology. All through his youth, he was a radical Leftist and had his dalliances with Naxal movements. He had ideologically opposed the BJP. Joining hands with an ideological adversary could require a very deep adjustment.
However, his family members seem to be pressurizing him to join hands with the BJP to protect his assets. Etela is finding that KCR is actually checkmating him in all squares. His followers are deserting him, there seems to be opposition to his entry in the BJP and he is finally unable to create a ripple let alone a cyclone in Telangana politics.
