Is ex-minister Vellampalli leaving YSRCP?

Despite being in power, it clearly appears that all is not well in the ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh. The other day, Minister Jogu Ramesh made the stunning revelation right in front of government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy that former minister and Vijayawada West MLA Vellampalli Srinivas could switch sides. This has left the party workers and leaders shocked and became the talk of the town.

As if this was not enough, senior minister Botsa Satyanarayana too made similar comments in a party meeting in his constituency. He said that if the party does not take care of the cadres, they could very well slip out of hands. In Nellore too, former minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy has made comments against his own partymen and said that they were out to politically decimate him.

Even in Gudivada, former minister Kodali Nani created quite a flutter by announcing the candidates for both Gannavaram and Bandar. The announcement was unilateral and he did not consult any party leader. This has led to heartburn among the party workers in these two constituencies.

Party sources say that ever since both Vijaysai Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy were made incharges of the party, the situation has been deteriorating. Groupism has increased manifold in the party. Both the leaders are encouraging factionalism in the party. Groups have been formed in every district and this, according to party sources. The party sources say that it is time that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy steps in and addresses these issues at the earliest.
