Is Jana Reddy slowly losing grip over Nagarjunasagar? A veteran of many a battle, Jana has won from the same constituency for seven times, before losing to Nomula Narsimhaiah of the TRS in the last elections. He has great grip on the constituency and has dedicated followers in every village.
But, this time around, the story, it appears, is different. Some of his hitherto loyal supporters are lukewarm this time. A segment of the Congress is lying inactive. It has not got involved in the election campaign of Jana Reddy. Insiders say that while the respect for Jana Reddy is still in-tact, there is some disappointment over his promotion of his sons. The loyal supporters feel that by promoting his son Raghuveera, Jana is denying growth opportunities the young and loyal leaders with aspirations. If he wins, he might push his son's case and make him the candidate in the next election. 'What about us. We have been slogging for years,' asked a young leader.
