Is Janasena Overestimating Itself On Vote Share?

It's been over ten years since Pawan Kalyan floated his political party. The Jana Sena party is one of the major parties in Andhra Pradesh. Though the party could not show any impact in the 2019 elections and barely managed to win just one Assembly seat, it is also a political party in the state.

Janasena party contested more than 130 seats and the rest of the seats were allotted to the ally parties. In the last four years, the party's image increased. People like Undavalli Arun Kumar say that Janasena's image and vote bank had increased and the party is looking stronger now.

On the other hand, celebrated Kapu leader Chegondi Venkata Harirama Jogaiah released a survey that said Janasena's image increased over the years and Janasena and Telugu Desam Party can come to power if they ally. This will make the Janasena cadre happy.

We can say that Janasena's image is not the same compared to a few years. But Mega brother Nagababu made some sensational comments on the vote share and as per his observations, the vote bank increased by a few folds which raised many eyeballs.

Nagababu said that Janasena's vote bank increased to 35 percent as per an internal survey and he also said that no party can come to power in the state without the support of Jana Sena. Nagababu's comments grabbed the attention of the political observers and common people as well.

Usually, the vote share of a party increases when the leadership does some noteworthy work and does programs that can increase the party's image. But no one knows what work the party has done except for handing over cheques to the families of deceased farmers.

Pawan Kalyan was supposed to start a bus yatra on his specially designed Varahi vehicle. But that did not stop and despite this Nagababu said that the party's vote share increased by a few folds. He said that Janasena's vote share had increased to 35%. In the 2019 elections, the party had a vote share of just 6 percent.

Considering Nagababu's comments, Janasena's vote share increased by around six terms. Even the Janasena supporters and sympathizers also don't know what the party has done for this. Many also raise doubt about whether the party is overestimating itself.
