Is Kodali Nani unhappy with YS Jagan?
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Oct 2022 12:44 PM GMTAre things not so okay between Gudivada MLA and former minister Kodali Nani and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy? If highly placed sources are to be believed, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is said to be unhappy about the disinterest that Kodali Nani is showing during the prestigious âGadapa Gadapakuâ programme of the party.
Though Kodali Nani has time and again said that he is not unhappy at losing his ministerial position in the recent reshuffle, his disinterest in the Gadapa Gadapaku programme is said to be baffling Jagan. Gudivada is a YSRCP bastion as Nani had won it in both 2014 and 2019 with handsome margin. But, this time, around, he has shown no interest in the party programme.
Meanwhile, it is also learnt that there is pressure on Kodali Nani from the predominant Kamma community in Gudivada on the issue of renaming of the NTR university. The community wants him to criticise Jagan government's move. The issue is likely to affect Kodali Nani's prospects too. Though he has not said anything so far, Kodali Nani is said to be unhappy with the removal of NTR's name.
It may be recalled that key Kamma leaders in the YSRCP have been ambivalent on the issue. Official language implementation committee chief Yarlagadda Lakshmiprasad protested the name change, but persisted with the post. NTR's second Lakshmi Parvathi did not even protest against the name change. Kodali Nani did not make any statement on the issue. But is said to be unhappy with the decision.
