Is Konda Vishweshwar Reddy joining BJP?

Will Bandi Sanjay's padayatra taste its first success on May 14 with the joining of former Congress MP and industrialist Konda Vishweswar Reddy? If BJP sources are to be believed, the resourceful and well-connected former MP is all set to join the BJP when Union Home Minister Amit takes part in Bandi Sanjay's Padayatra.
Interestingly, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy met Bandi Sanjay in Mahabubnagar on Wednesday. He had a closed-door meeting with Bandi Sanjay for about 30 minutes. Prior to that, Konda met with former MP and senior BJP leader AP Jitender Reddy. He drove to Reddy's house and remained closeted for two hours. Later, both drove to the venue where Bandi Sanjay was resting. Sources said that Konda has discussed his joining with both the leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Konda said that the people of the state were with Bandi Sanjay. He expressed satisfaction at the way the yatra was progressing. He said the people were fed up with the misrule of the TRS and were ready to teach a fitting lesson to the ruling party.
Konda Vishweshwar Reddy was Chevella MP during the 2014-2018 period. Later, he left the TRS to join the Congress Party. He contested from Chevella again, but on Congress ticket in 2019, but lost to the TRS. Since then, he has been posturing against the TRS, but gave conflicting signals. Sometimes, he was seen close to the Congress and yet other times with the BJP. Now, it is becoming increasingly clear that he is likely to throw his lot with the BJP.
