Is Priyanka Vadra responsible for Scindia's revolt?
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 March 2020 1:02 PM GMTWas Priyanka Vadra responsible for Scindia's revolt? Sources in the know say Priyanka was indirectly responsible for Scindia's exit. Scindia has been sulking for quite sometime. He was unhappy at Kamal Nath being made the CM. He was also upset that he was not being made the party chief for MP. Then he wanted at least Rajya Sabha seat for himself.
In the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls, the Congress could send three seats. One of them was allotted to senior hand Digvijay Singh . The second one was allotted to former minister and Haryana leader Kumari Selja. The third one was to be given to Jyothiraditya. However, wily old horse Kamal Nath then played the trick. He offered the third seat to Priyanka Gandhi. Priyanka was to be made the third candidate. This effectively meant that Jyothiraditya's political career was left in a blind spot. Scindia tried to meet Sonia Gandhi, but she was in no mood to meet him. This left Scindia with no option. Already his two aunts were in the BJP and one even became a chief minister in Rajasthan.
So, Scindia waited for the right opportunity and played his cards well. Now, he has already joined the BJP and at least 19 of his MLAs have resigned from the assembly and by Wednesday morning, the number might swell to 30 MLAs, say sources.
