Is Swami Paripurnananda Joining TDP?

If the buzz we are hearing serves us right, the star campaigner of the BJP during the recent Telangana elections, Swami Paripurnananda is all set to back the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh. The swami, who heli-hopped from place to place to address over 80 public meetings in Telangana, is likely to campaign for the TDP. The Swami is already in touch with several TDP MLAs, including Varma of Pithapuram and Gouthu Syam Sundar Sivaji of Srikakulam. Though he many not openly campaign for the TDP, he would keep away from the BJP campaign in AP. Thus, he would indirectly help the TDP.
Swami enjoys good relations with Chandrababu Naidu and his Sripeetam in Kakinada has always maintained close links with TDP leader, including Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. During the last elections in 2014, the Swami performed a special yagnam for the victory of Chandrababu Naidu.
Sources close to Swami Paripurnananda say that he is deeply upset at the state BJP in Telangana completely ignoring him. Many key leaders like Kishan Reddy and Laxman are not even on talking terms with him. Even the sole MLA Raja Singh doesn’t consult him on any issue. To add to it, the worst drubbing the BJP got this time has stunned Swami and his stock within the BJP has gone down. The BJP national leadership no longer feels that Swami has a popular appeal. So, a miffed Swami is now looking towards the TDP.
