Is This BJP's Plan For South India?

True to his character, Amit Shah did not waste time celebrating BJP's stupendously staggering victory. He has got down to prepare party's action plan for 2024 elections. He knows the party has won mainly on the strength of the performance in North and Western India. It almost swept these two regions in 2014. In 2019, it has expanded to the Eastern Indi and has performed exceedingly well there. This added to the North and Western regions and the party has become unassailably strong.
So, what about 2024? Simple. The party wants to expand in South India. This time around, South was a mixed bag. It did well in Karnataka and won four MP seats in Telangana. But, it failed to open its account in both Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
So, the BJP wants to expand to the South this time. It's plan of action includes appointing three incharges for every state. These incharges would be senior Central ministers and senior party leaders. They will weaken the Opposition, lure prominent faces from the Opposition into the BBJP and strengthen the party from the grassroots level.
In Andhra Pradesh, the immediate target is to emerge as the second biggest party. It will try to occupy the position that the TDP is currently occupying. It will try to lure key leaders from the TDP and the Congress into the BJP. Jagan too cannot object to this as there is no open alliance with the BJP. In Telangana, the party wants to grow stronger. It wants to wean away key leaders like Harish Rao into the party and decimate the Congress. Once the Congress is gone, the BJP will be the second largest party and the only alternative to the TRS.
In Kerala, it wants to use the Hindutwa and Sabarimala cards. The party feels that though it could not win many seats, its vote percentage has gone up significantly. So, Hindutwa plank will help its growth. In Tamil Nadu, the party wants to tug on to the AIADM to grow.
Let's see how many of these plans succeed for the BJP.
