Is This The Return Gift That MIM Is Planning?

The AP political scene is already muddled with the entry of the BJP and the Jana Sena. Already, the TDP and the YSRCP are slogging it out across the state in a 'now or never' battle. If sources serve us right, there is going to be another player in the already muddled AP politics. That new player is the Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen or the MIM.

The MIM is planning to enter into AP politics and want to position itself as a saviour of Muslims. MIM sources say that MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is personally calling up leaders from the minority community in Andhra Pradesh. He is talking to them about the situation of the Muslims in AP and is asking them to back the MIM in the coming elections. He wants to contest as many seats as possible to ensure that the Muslim voters do not vote for the ruling TDP.

With the muslim votes gone, the TDP would become very vulnerable. The difference between the winning TDP and the losing YSRCP in 2014 was just 5 lakh votes. So, MIM wants to wean away as many Muslims as possible. With the Muslims being the deciding factor in several constituencies in Kadapa, Anantapur, Guntur, Vijayawada and even in Vizag. If the Muslims in these areas vote for the MIM, the TDP would lose those seats.

The MIM is going to tell the Muslims that they could achieve a lot for the community in Telangana and by acting as a pressure group, they can also achieve the same in Andhra Pradesh. Is this the return gift that Telangana CM KCR is planning for Chandrababu Naidu?
