Is this why Komatireddy was not made PCC chief?

Why did the Congress High Command deny the PCC chief's post to Komatireddy Venkat Reddy? He is equally firebrand like Revanth Reddy and he too is relatively young. He is also considered quite dashing and dynamic. In fact, Komatireddy had even run a TV channel to counter KCR's propaganda and project the Congress party. Yet, the High Command ignored his case and opted for Revanth Reddy.
In fact Komatireddy had camped in New Delhi to lobby for his case. He met several key leaders and was pretty confident that he would be made the PCC chief. Yet, when the final result was out, his name was missing. Sources say, the high command was upset that his brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy was hobnobbing with the BJP. It pointed out that Rajagopala Reddy has made several pro-BJP comments. Though he has not formally joined the party, he was making pro-BJP noises.
Highly placed sources also say that the party also questioned his close relationship with the YSRCP. Komatireddy has deep connections with the YSR family. In fact, even recently, YS Sharmila is said to have talked to him before venturing into Telangana. Komatireddy did not have a satisfactory explanation for this and that sealed his fate, say sources.
