Is Vijayasanthi Ready For A New "Role?"
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Feb 2020 4:07 AM GMTIs actress-politician Vijayasanthi getting active in politics again. Vijayasanthi, who was a firebrand during the Telangana agitation, has suddenly gone into hibernation all these years. Though she has been made the campaign incharge for Telangana in 2019 elections, she did not do much. Interestingly, she had even accepted a film with Mahesh Babu and got busy with the shooting.
But, she has suddenly taken to Twitter to say she will become active again and take up programmes for the "welfare of the people." In a candid admission, a very rare thing for the actress-politician, she said that though the High Command has permitted her to take out a yatra ahead of the elections, she did not do it. "There were some flip-flops on my part and the itinerary was changed all too frequently. As a result, they did not happen the way I wanted to," the actress admitted. Now, she says she has decided to plunge headlong into the "constructive agitations." She has tweeted to mark the completion of six years in the Congress Party. She tweeted a pic of Sonia Gandhi welcoming her into the party.
But, is this tweet meant for the already squabbling leaders of the party that she too is an aspirant for the PCC chief's post? Is she indicating that if made a PCC chief, she would launch a high-profile campaign for the party? Is she telling the Congress high command that she is willing to take on the mantle of leadership of the party in Telangana? Well! We may have to wait and watch Vijayasanthi's next move.
