Is YSRCP Really a Pro-Farmer Government?

No matter what others are saying, the Andhra Pradesh government is going ahead in carrying out the welfare schemes. The party even wants to bank on the welfare schemes and openly say that no government is carrying out welfare schemes to the point where the YSRCP is doing.
Not just that, the party always dubs itself as Raithu Pakshapathi, which means pro-farmer. However, reality has something else to say. Andhra Pradesh has one of the highest farmers' suicides number in the country and the state is among the top states.
Going by the data shared by the National Crime Records Bureau, Andhra Pradesh is in the third position in terms of farmers' suicides. As many as 1,065 farmers took the extreme step and took their lives in the state and the numbers translate to 9.78 percent of farmer suicides in India.
The report titled 'Crime in India 2021 report' said that in 2021, Maharashtra and BJP-ruled Karnataka are at the top positions followed by Andhra Pradesh. As another big concern, the crimes against Women also did not come down and AP is in 10th position.
It is a sad reality that farmers often get neglected by the government. Despite being a strong vote bank, the governments won't take them seriously. This is not just in Andhra Pradesh. Almost every state does the same and neglects the farmers.
