How is it to work with a workaholic like Amit Shah? The man, who never rests like his Guru Narendra Modi, is a tough task master. Outgoing IB chief Rajiv Jain, new IB chief Arvind Kumar and Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba have discovered this recently. On June 26, Amit Shah was on the first day of his two-day tour of Srinagar in Jammu Kashmir.
Amit Shah had several briefings and informal meetings with the officials of the Jammu Kashmir at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar, where Gauba, Kumar and Jain accompanied him. While all others were having their dinner, Amit Shah had a closed door meeting with these three officials that went late into the night. The meeting was exhausting and the officials were hungry. After the meeting, at around 11.30 PM. The officials came running into the canteen to see if there was anything to eat. The canteen was closed. They asked the officials for something to eat as they were hungry. The officials were alarmed as the shops and hotels close quite early in Srinagar due to the terrorist activities. Finally, they managed to get something to eat for the three top officials.
As for Amit Shah, he left for the Nehru Guesthouse, where he was lodged. He had instructed the staff there to keep something for him to eat. So, he could get some snacks.
