It's All In The Family For These Biggies
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Feb 2020 5:24 AM GMTIt's all in the family in TRS. Just as the top leadership is largely a family affair. Even the leaders in the second and third rung seem to be following the same system. Most of the TRS MLAs, MPs and Ministers are turning the party solely into a family inc. The result? The party leaders are now confined to campaigning and holding up banners and flags. The same trend, some disgruntled TRS men say, is going to continue in the upcoming cooperative society elections too.
Take for instance, former minister Patnam Mahender Reddy is an MLA now. His wife Sunitha is Vikarabad ZP chief and his brother Narender Reddy is also an MLA. Minister Jogu Ramanna's son Premender is a municipal chairperson. Former MLA Putta Madhu's wife is manthani municipal chairperson.Wife of MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy too is the chairperson of Warangal rural ZP.
If the same trend continues, the loyal and old-timer TRS workers would be relegated to the background, said a senior TRS hand, who has been with the party all along since its inception. He regretted that several loyal party workers are disillusioned with this development. The power is getting concentrated in the hands of a few families, he complained.
