It's Final: Jayalalithaa to Remain in Jail Till Oct 6th!

Noted lawyer Ram Jethmalani filed a petition seeking bail for the four accused in the Rs 66.65 crore corruption case and challenged the verdict saying the huge fine imposed on convicts isn't conforming to the PCA 1988 Act. Jayalalithaa's health condition, suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, has been cited as the reason for bail.
A special court in Bangalore sentenced Jayalalithaa and her three associates to 4 years in prison. A fine of Rs 100 crore on Jaya and Rs 10 crore each on 3 others have been imposed.
