Its Old-timers vs Newcomers In TRS
X
A tussle of sorts is picking momentum in the ruling TRS in Telangana. Loyal party workers who have been through the thick and thin are feeling slighted as the late entrants having the cake and eating it too. The newcomers, who latched on to the TRS bandwagon are getting most of the nominated posts, while those who were with the party from the beginning are ending up with zilch.

In Vikarabad for instance, NLA Metuku Anand is being accused of sidelining the seniors. He iss said to be restricting their entry into the party programmes. Even invitations are not being sent to the senior leaders. Old timers are now cut up with the MLA and are also sore that the MLA had ensured that the seniors do not get tickets in the recent local body elections. They are said to have gone to Hyderabad to pour out their tales of woes to the top leadership of the party. For instance, the MLA is said to be planning to give the post of Vikarabad market yard chairperson to a new comer ignoring the requests of Tammani Shankar, who is with the party from the beginning.

Similar complaints are coming from across the state and many old timers are unhappy at the way they are being ignored. On many an occasion, they are taking the issue to the top leadership, but to no avail. Last heard, the party has asked the local MPs to ensure that the things are set right.
