It's Official: Not Mahakutami Anymore!
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Oct 2018 12:58 PM GMTMahakutami was constituted in Telangana by Congress - TDP - TJS and CPI with the sole aim of defeating KCR-led TRS. Now, Mahakutami (Grand Alliance) is being rechristened as Praja Kutami (People's Alliance).
TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy claimed surveys predict 80-plus seats for Praja Kutami. He believes TRS will be restricted to just 30 seats.
TDP - TJS and CPI offered the list of constituencies they wish to contest for Congress already. While TDP and CPI have been seeking 19 and 12 seats respectively, Kodandaram-led TJS demanded 25 seats apart from Common Agenda for Praja Kutami.
Analysts say, Congress wishes to contest in at least 80-90 Assembly Constituencies. Rest of the three parties will have to share the remaining segments. Congress wants to offer 12-15 seats for TDP, 10-15 seats for TJS and 4-5 seats for CPI.
